And whereas, I have mortgaged certain lands in Hethersett co, Norfolk to my said father in law for 300 pounds, I will that my heirs at the common law shall pay him th money due for the redemption of the said lands, and then to have the said lands to them and theier heirs forever. I give unto my daughter Temporaunce Yardie alis Flowerdew my seal ring of gold. I give to my kinswoman Mary Claxton, wife to Hamon Claxton of London esquire, my black cloak and fan of white feathers. 1640 Edmond Rossingham of the Inner Temple, London, Gentleman. plaintiff. v. Thomas Knevett of Ashfield Thorpe co., Norfolk, esquire, defendant. Abstract: Bill dated 1640. The plaintiff shows that in or about the year 1580 Anthony Flowerdew late of Hethersett, co Norfolk esq. and Martha his wife were seised in their demeane as of freehold for the term only of their natural lives, and the life of the longer liver of them, the reversion or remainder expectant to the first son of the said Anthony and to the heirs male of such first son, and for want of such issue to the heirs of the body of the said Anthony and for want os such issue then to the rith heirs of the said Anthony, ofor in one capital messuage called Thickthorne and divers other lands, woods, etc. containing about 400 acres being in the town & parish of Hethersett aforesaid. The aforesaid Anthony & Martha his wife are both death and Stanley Flowerde w the only son of the said Anthony is deadalso without direct heirs, so that the aforesaid messuage a& lands ought to descend to the plaintiff by virtue of the said entail in remainder upon the aforesaid Anthony Flowerdewe and the heirs of his body, he being son & heir of Marie Rossingham the wife of Dyonis Rossingham, gentleman, and daughter 7 heir of the said Anthony Flowerdewe. The plaintiff further shows that Edward Flowedewe of Stanfield co. Norfolk, formerly one of the Barons of the Exchequer, being a near kinsman of the said Anthony was entrusted by him with all the deeds, court rolls & evidences concerning the premises and concerning other lands beloning to the said Anthony, for want of which deed the plaintiff although heir in tail to the said messuage & premises, being now out of possession, is entirely prevented from recovering the same. All the said deeds & evidences have come into the hands of the defendant, whose grandfather Sir Thomas Knevett was executor to the said Edward Flowerdew to whom they had been entrusted by the said Anthony.: Chancery Proceeding. !16 Jan 1710/11: Josias Gaskins of the one part and Tho Gaskins of the other. Whereas Tho Gaskins decd by will d. 20 June 1663 gave his son Josias Gaskins, the father of the said Josias Gaskins party to these presents, the Plantation whereon the testator lived, being 250 acres granted 15 Sept 1649, now Josias the devisee being dead, and Thomas party to these presents conceiving by the words of the said devisee that he, the devisee, had but an Estate for life in sd land, which terminated at his death and reverted to Tho Gaskins party to these presents, the son of Tho Gaskins Elder Brother of Josias Gaskins the said devisee and the Eldest Son of the said devisor, brought a Writ of Ejectment in Gen' Court to oust the said Josias party to these presents who was in possession of the land. But in friendly settlement, Thomas dropped the suit, and there was an agreement betw them to pass deeds to each other, which they ack in Northumberland Court 21 Dec 1709. But the records being burned, Josias Gaskins conveys to Thos the 250 acres, and Thos conveys to Josias 100 acres part of the 250 acres. The indenture is signed by Josiah Gaskins. Wit by Sammuell X Cammell, Thomas X Shears, Thomas X Laurencett. It was acknowledged by Josias Gaskins and Elizabeth his wife on 16 May 1711. Ref. to the land, 250 acres being patented 15 Sep 1649 by Thos Gaskins grandfather to the said parties, who by will devised the land to his son Josias, father of the said Josias party to this. Walter and Anna Scott returned to the rebuilt city of San Francisco
(census 1920, 1930, and City Directories) where their son Henry
William became a surgeon and practiced medicine for many years until
his retirement. Anna Louise Scott died in San Francisco 19 Aug
1933. Walter Chiles Scott died there 15 Mar 1963. Both are buried
in the "Diggs" plot in Cypress Lawn C%metery, Colma, CA

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at New Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland under the direction of Mark Seepe Funeral Directors of Jackson. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Library/Sessions Parlor of Fondren Presbyterian Church in Jackson. Mr. Robb was born Dec. 5, 1928, to McCarty and Ruth Wilkinson Robb in Greenville. He attended The University of Mississippi and was a graduate of Delta State University. During his working career, he was a field editor for the Construction News for many years. He was a long time Jackson resident and a member of Fondren Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Tatum Robb of Jackson; daughter, Betty Robb Morris of Jackson; brother, William (Mimi) Robb of Ponchatoula, La.; granddaughter, Jennifer Watson; great-grandchildren, Levi Watson and Aryaan Watson, all of Jackson.
