  !I. Pierre Chatard, born about 1735, in Yrieux, in the Province of Limousin, France; removed to Cape Francois, St. Domingo, where he had an extensive coffee plantation, about the time of the Revolution on that Island. He married (1766) Louise Helene Joullair, whose father was a resident of St. Domingo. Upon the breaking out of the Revolution he removed to Wilmington, Del., and died there, 10 April, 1796; his wife died February 1797.
